International Women’s Month is a time where women all around the world and from all walks of life, come together collectively during the month of March and celebrate womanhood in ways that bring them and the women they admire, honor and support via activities, events and workshops that also brings them closer together.
As I was scrolling through many of the beautiful posts online, it really got me thinking about how celebrating women is also celebrating younger women and girls – especially if you are a mom raising a daughter #girlmom.
Whenever I think about the best ways to inspire the next generation of young women and girls, I firmly believe it is by setting a good example for them to follow.

As a proud homeschool mom, I am always on the lookout for ways to integrate life lessons into our homeschool curriculum.
While reading an article published in Laguna Beach Magazine while on a family trip to the OC. I was so excited to see that there was this upcoming book signing from a woman who has really paved the way for other women to reach for what they truly desire and not allow anything or anyone to stand in their way.
It was such a #proudmama moment for me to be able to introduce my daughter to a phenomenal woman (Diane Peterson AKA “The Hollywood Stuntwoman”) from Diane’s website, she shares more about herself and her story.

“I have been a professional stunt woman for over forty years. Working on over two hundred movies and television shows including Titanic, Laundromat, Green Hornet, Batman Forever, Marked for Death, Out for Justice, Robocop II, Airplane and many, many others. Television shows that I have worked on include Walker, Texas Ranger, Fall Guy, MacGyver, Magnum P.I., and many others.
When working on the set of Kojak, a television series starring Telly Savalas, I saw two guys do a car chase and I knew that was what I wanted to do! I was the first woman to (be) inducted into the East Coast Stuntmen's Association. A few years later, I realized that I needed to move to Los Angeles. So I packed up and headed West. I was following my dream and began working almost immediately.
I hope to inspire you to live your dream life too!”
The venue was at beautiful art gallery in Malibu, CA. Since my daughter is also a budding artist, it was the perfect place for her to learn more and connect with others in the arts.

They had the CUTEST Cake! 🎂 It was pretty good I must say, even though I've cut back tremendously on my sugar intake, I allowed myself to a little treat :)

The snacks and small plates were delicious! They had fresh berries and a fruit tray, salad, sourdough bread and olive oil, a veggie tray and a beautiful charcuterie board.
She was so delighted to select her flavored sparkling water :)
I believe as a mom, that it my duty to surround my daughter with righteous minded, good hearted and strong women who are committed and dedicated to making this world a better place, so that she has a solid blueprint to follow and also use as a guide, for those "dark knight of the soul" valley points in life - that are inevitable.
Cheers to all of the wonderful women and moms, showing up as their very best while doing their part to be a light in the world for our young daughters, in order to inspire them to reach for more for themselves and to never give up!
The sky is the limit!
