Our time at Universal Studios was nothing short of amazing. We were eagerly awaiting the official opening of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ since we saw the billboard last year – we had so much fun that we could hardly contain ourselves.
After we took the shuttle to the park entrance which is an adventurous short ride in and of itself,
We then entered through the park gates and it's always funny how you go to an amusement park, it literally feels like you're in a whole new world -- and that's because you really are if you think about it, everything there is geared towards you having nothing but Non-Stop dopamine spikes for those of you that are into brain chemistry and brain science like I am… #nerd #momnerd.
I'm always fascinated by the amount of creative energy, deep thought and intentional planning that designing these massive amusement parks take and how much they contain and how it's literally like you are passing through a veil of hope, inspiration and all things possible, whenever you step foot onto the grounds of Universal Studios – or any amusement park even Disneyland, for that matter, they're just something about the “magic that's in the air” and it adds to how important it for us, as families to take the time to be intentional about creating memories that will last a lifetime for our families to be able to enjoy long after the moment(s) has/have passed.
I forget where I read this quote or who said it first, “You never know when you’re making a memory” yet it comes to mind whenever I’m in the feeling of the process of creating/making a memory.

Because we knew ahead of time that there would be a long line because we are annual past members and we were able to come earlier to preview Super Nintendo World™ prior to the official launch and opening we immediately went directly to Super Nintendo World™ within the park so that way we would have more time to enjoy the rest of the entertainment and activities.
So full transparency, this is in the very beginning of when the park first open Super Nintendo World™ , so these times and experiences will vary, however we personally waited 4 hours and yes that's not a typo… 4 hours ( f. o.u. r hours ) we waited in line just to ride the Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge ride.

That's how important it was to us.
Unfortunately, it had some sort of glitch or there was something going on on the tech side of things as it was explained to us and we actually had an additional delay that added to our wait time, which I believe it was an extra 30 to 40ish minutes or so and it was interesting because they made the announcement on the overhead speaker system and they had informed us that they were in the process of trying to locate the issue, now mind you, at this time we were already at least two and a half to three hours in and so there was no way we were going to turn back,
However, they had said they did not know how long it would be before they would have everything repaired and so if we wanted to leave we could because they could not give us an accurate projection in regards to the time it would take to repair whatever was going on.

I did notice that no one left the line. Everyone around us literally sat down and eventually some of some of the people waiting in line started singing songs and it was kind of like “hey we're in the same boat and we're all in this together, we might as well make the most of it”.

So that was really fun because even though, yes, It can be frustrating to go to an amusement park, and of course I’m not at all singling out Universal Studios, as I have experienced this same thing many times at Disneyland. The rides will have something “go wrong” and need to be repaired, yet I factor all of it as a part of the fun.
Yes, it can be tiresome walking around all day and waiting in line, yet I decide to repurpose the time within my mind and enjoy the moments we have to spend together as our children grow up so fast and we don’t get the time we have together while their younger but for so long, and in the grand scheme of things, I cherish the tiredness as it also comes along with these memories we’ll cherish forever.

We had a blast playing the real-time / real-life version of our beloved video game Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge ride.
After we rode Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge ride, we explored more of the Super Nintendo World™ had to offer, which of course was the Toadstool Cafe™. From the Universal Studios website, it reads:
Indulge in tasty dishes at Toadstool Cafe™, where you can enjoy Chef Toad’s favorite recipes offered in the Mushroom Kingdom. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available.

I had the Fire Flower Spaghetti & Meatballs, current price of $16.99, which is spaghetti with mushroom marinara sauce, meatballs, Fire Flower parmesan crisp, shaved parmesan, and chopped parsley.
It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, though I must admit, I REALLY love spicy food, and I always have to add more spice as my tolerance level is so high.

Khy had the kids meal ( for ages 9 and under ) Mario Mini Burger Adventure Set, current price of $14.99. Which is a Cheeseburger, truffle French fries, corn on cob, broccoli and a coin cookie.
( she opted to remove the cheese, as we don’t eat very much dairy. )
She said it was really yummy, her fries we crispy yet, she said her burger was a tad on the dry side. The broccoli was buttery and the corn was sweet and juicy. Overall, she said it was good and she liked it.
We shared an Orange Juice, Bottled Juice current price of $4.00 ( choice of Apple or Orange ) and a water.
We really really really wanted to try the Princess Peach Cupcake (VG; vegan) current price of $9.99 which is a raspberry filled Funfetti cupcake, buttercream frosting and Princess Peach chocolate crown.
Yet as we went to order, the party in front of us had literally ordered the very last one – all they had was the Mt. Beanpole Cake (VG; vegan), current price of $9.99, which is chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry layered cake topped with a matcha mousse.
So we didn’t have the dessert, I always make it a point to only buy what I really want and not settle for whatever is being offered, which I feel is a great lesson in life for children to learn at a young age, as to never settle for less than what they truly desire.

Our beautiful day at Universal Studios and Super Nintendo World™ was hands down time well spent and very enjoyable - despite the hiccups and tiredness, I always make a point to drive home the point to her that we are literally walking around something that started as a small idea in someone else’s mind, that our thoughts are real and we really can have whatever we desire in this life, as long as we’re willing to remain dedicated and committed to our dreams and walk in faith as we’re doing our part in order to bring those dreams into fruition, it’s impossible for us not to succeed.
